Short description
BREACHPOINT is a top-down pixel-art SWAT tactics game for PC and Mac: plan routes and go-codes, breach buildings held by animal-masked gangs in a 25-chapter story campaign or roguelite operations, walk your HQ as the captain, and build maps you have to beat to seal. Single player. Coming to Steam.
Long description
BREACHPOINT is a top-down SWAT tactics game in chunky pixel art at 32 pixels a tile. You command a squad of named operators through buildings held by gangs who hide behind animal masks: motels, nightclubs, offices, warehouses, labs and suburban houses.
Missions play like Door Kickers: pause the action, draw each operator’s path, set where they look, hold them on go-codes and trigger a synchronized breach. Pick the lock, slide a mirror under the door, kick it, blow it with a charge or flash and clear. Pick a team size at the door and the stack forms itself; a plan timeline shows who everyone is waiting for. The simulation is fast and unforgiving: enemies hear you, camp doors, take hostages and sometimes give up.
The Official campaign is 25 hand-built chapters in the fictional city of Port Coralina. Bravo Team takes on the Menagerie, a syndicate where every animal mask is a job, across five acts with comic-panel briefings over the real building, five golden-mask bosses who taunt you on the radio, mask notes to collect and an ending on the beach. An Elite clear unlocks a secret sixth chapter. New players start in the Killhouse: short drills with Sgt. “Gunny” Ramos on the radio and medal times.
Operations is the roguelite: a 25-step run generated from its own seed, a choice of mission cards at every step, a boss op every fifth step, and permadeath on Veteran and Elite, with Ironman and New Game+ on top. There is also a daily mission and a five-op weekly operation, with your best scores kept locally.
The wave-two tactics kit adds a sixth class carrying a ballistic shield, non-lethal tasers, beanbags and pepper spray, a K9 that pins thugs, a recon drone that tags every mask it sees, power cuts for night-vision entries, breachable thin walls, weather and time of day, and civilians who panic and run.
Your captain is your avatar: name, callsign, radio voice and look. Between missions you walk a station house with WASD, past the crew, to the armory, briefing room, range, med bay, memorial wall and K9 kennel, and spend merit on upgrades.
The multi-storey map editor lets players paint their own buildings with stairs, shafts, skylights and thin walls. A map is sealed only once you beat it: the Clear-check replays your winning run and stamps that exact version. Maps go into your own collections. Every run can be replayed and scrubbed.
The launch version is single player and fully offline on PC and Mac: no account, no sign-in, no internet connection, and saves stay on your computer. It plays on mouse and keyboard or a gamepad.
Coming after launch. A free online update adds turn-based multiplayer in the spirit of Rainbow Six (one side attacks, the other fortifies, both spend action points turn by turn, 1v1 or 2v2, live or async), seasonal ranked, two-player co-op on story chapters, friends and clans, community maps to browse, rate and remix, global leaderboards and cloud saves.
